Note: I wrote the folowing article for the blog of my university’s website (www.khi.nu.edu.pk/blog) back in December. Going through the site just for old time’s sake I remembered my love for the topic and I just had to share it over here. Maybe there would be quite a bit of scientific complexities involved, even though I’ve toned it down a lot, nonetheless the topic is very intriguing…. I would really like if any of you out there have some more info to share about it

It all started when I read the last words by the author of this novel I was reading. “Who’s afraid of the dark?” by Sydney Sheldon, is actually based upon the hazards of the weather controlling technology among other mind boggling electronic gimmicks and gadgets. Well the story itself was not as catchy as the author’s final declaration:
the concept of weather controlling isn’t really a myth anymore!!
That was it! I had to look into this, had to give my hungry brain some luscious and yet unsettling information to digest.
THE BEGINNING
Legend has it that Vikings had the power to make weather follow their whims. So much for the stories but the history cites that after wars with heavy usage of firearms, often times torrential downpours followed at those places. My bet would be the excessive heat which found its way up into the delicate balance of the atmosphere and caused some serious ionizing and hence weather changes. Nikola Tesla , a Serbian-American scientist was that genius man who listened to the rhythm of the universe and probably became the first man to actually find a practical way to engineer weather. The ultimate dream of man…to play God.
If you think that this is some modern concept then why don’t you Google “Nikola Tesla” and see for yourself that the father of this research, an amazing thinker, inventor, scientist and probably a senile man of sorts actually breathed more than a century before. His researches and patents marking the Tesla Technology were first practically implemented by the Russians and not surprisingly, against Americans.
SO WHAT DID TESLA FIND…
Well Mr. Tesla found out a way to suck energy from the vacuum and since vacuum is everywhere ( and I mean both literally and figuratively), he actually proposed to quell the entire world’s energy starvation. But this was all in theory ofcourse and for obvious, materialistic reasons, Tesla’s funding was slashed. Anyhow this ingenious way of creating inexhaustible energy supply underlies the creation of artificial weather. This field of studies is called Scalar electromagnetics which is actually making use of the real Maxwell’s equations. You wondering what I mean by ‘real’??
WHO CARES ABOUT MAXWELL…
To the ardent admirers of Mr. Clarke Maxwell, here is another thing you could add to your admiration list. The four equations that form the worldwide basis for the entire communication theory are NOT complete!! Apparently a Mr. Heaviside took out the portion which made up for the scalar part of the EM (electromagnetic) waves and which were responsible for the creation of dark energy. The so called dark energy is the very energy coming out of the vacuum at the subatomic level and which has two very spectacular effects:
1)Negentropy: ordering of the particles rather than their going crazy
2)Time reversal! Yup the nucleus actually recoils as a reaction to this. And the lost energy is accounted for in the fourth dimension.
But since all the transmission and reception worked fine even without the longitudinal EM waves, therefore that portion was conveniently dropped.
RIGHT AND THE WEATHER IS CREATED BY….
Carrying on with the weather creation.Well it is in actuality created by using ‘Tesla Howitzers’ which are basically scalar antennae controlled by the Charles Babbage’s brainchild at the backend. They operate in two modes
1)exothermic: to create ’sonic booms’ that is to set energy free
2)endothermic: to suck energy out of a place
Also another thing about this is that energy doesn’t actually [b]travel[/b] through any medium rather it is the [b]rippling[/b] of the space time curvature itself that transfers energy with virtually no loss and astounding precision.
AND…..
And at the very root of it, it is all a game of creating a sonic boom here or sucking out energy from there, consequently making areas of raging currents or low pressure depressions. The right combo could make anything ranging from light breezes, soft drizzling to fierce storms. If you need an example then take at a look at the power of the hurricane Katrina or Rita. And not just weather, this technology is equally capable to control seismic activity, subterranean earthquakes, tidal waves, antigravity anything at all. This is what you might call The Grand Unification of Engineering!
OK AND IT’S BEING USED BY….
America and Russia are both very smugly self sufficient in the scalar weapons. Although a treaty signed some 2 or 3 decades ago forbids them to use any weather engineering tools, rumor has it that they are still efficiently sharpening their claws with them. America’s Project HAARP is one such venture. As for Russia’s efficiency, suffice it to say that back then in 1980s they not only tested their adeptness in these weapons but also did live experiments too. Blowing up of the Challenger is an example.
SO THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS….
Well nothing is really bad until one starts using it wrong and having one of nature’s string as a toy is not exactly a very comforting thought….for those of us who DON’T have it
MEANING…
Simply that even if we can’t create weather then atleast we can understand it better or just for the sake of getting to know new technologies we could go through something. So for anyone who cares…

Besides you could really go and Google about in Scalar Electromagnetics, Longitudinal EM waves, Tesla Howitzers, Tom Beardon etc.
I remember i was in eternal awe of ‘Digital Logic Design’. A friend and I were making ‘4-way traffic signal’ for our DLD project and for the life of me i couldn’t understand how to convert the zeroes and ones into blinking , working lights…..until the journey from deciding logical states to truth tables, then equations and k-maps gave us our circuit…amazing!! the natural highs could be so damn exhilerating!.. The world of digital electronics has always mesmerized me because at the base of it lies the simple concept of presence or absence of a signal, very precisely timed. There is that software to hardware interfacing along with the tiny wonder machines called microprocessors and Digital signal processors that could do something as simple from sending a signal to an LED to acting as a complex speech transaltor… but at the base of these all lies the logic which tells when to or when not to send a signal.
